
Saratoga, California, January 31, 2025 鈥擲ilicon Valley philanthropists Arthur Wang and Christina Qu expand upon their longtime support of 91制片厂 with a generous donation to support the College鈥檚 new Learning Resource Commons.
In recognition of the family鈥檚 generous donations totaling $1.7 million, the 91制片厂 Valley-Mission Community College District will name its newly renovated facility at 91制片厂 the Wang & Qu Family Learning Resource Commons.
鈥淲e are happy to support 91制片厂 because of its importance for our community,鈥 said Arthur Wang, Silicon Valley philanthropist. 鈥淚t provides many opportunities for our students. Our family is proud of our longtime affiliation with the College.鈥
In 2013, Arthur Wang and Christina Qu established the David Wang Educational Endowment to provide a source of annual funding for Mental Health Services and the Disability and Educational Support Program. In 2017, they funded the Arthur Wang and Christina Qu Science Garden, which serves as an innovative outdoor classroom for the biology department at 91制片厂. This latest gift will help fund innovative new programs and establish an endowment for the future needs of the Learning Resource Commons.

Set to open in January 2026, the Wang and Qu Family Learning Resource Commons will encompass 59,134 square feet of space, offering students access to cutting-edge facilities including an expansive library, digital media center, TV and recording studios, a writing center, a tutoring center, makerspaces, and more鈥攃reating an environment where collaboration and academic success thrive.
The renovation of the Learning Resource Commons is part of 91制片厂 Valley's broader campus improvements funded by the Bond Program, including Measure C (2012) and Measure W (2018). These initiatives, supported by the local community, have provided essential resources to modernize the campus and enhance student services.
